Vince Widerman (VATO), open-format DJ at Ivy Nightclub in Morgantown WV
About VATO

I'm Vince Widerman. I DJ as VATO.

I'm an open-format DJ in Morgantown, West Virginia — a resident DJ at Ivy Nightclub and Joe Mamas, and the assistant entertainment manager at Ivy. Most of my work is live nightlife crowds, which is exactly what makes me different at events. I've learned how a room actually moves, so I'm not guessing when the energy needs to shift.

Open-format means I'm not stuck in one lane — rap, house, throwbacks, country, pop, mixed live to whatever the night calls for. For private and formal events, that same instinct comes with preparation: clear communication, professional mics, and the right volume for the room.

My engineering background shapes how I approach every booking — every part of the night planned in advance, nothing left to chance.

The setup: Pioneer DDJ-FLX10 · dual JBL EON 715 mains with EON 718S subwoofer · wireless mic system + Shure SM58 · professional stands and cabling.

FAQ

Good to know.

Bars and clubs, college and Greek life events, private parties, graduations, and birthdays — plus weddings and corporate events by request. Open-format means I adapt the set to the room rather than forcing one sound all night.
Yes — mixers, formals, date parties, philanthropy events, and tailgates. I know what a college crowd reacts to and how to keep the floor full all night.
Yes. I'm the resident DJ at Ivy Nightclub in Morgantown and play open-format sets built for peak hours. I can work on a venue's house system or bring my full setup.
Yes. I run dual JBL EON 715 speakers with an EON 718S subwoofer, a wireless mic system, and a Shure SM58 — professional, reliable sound for events of most sizes. For club bookings I can also work on the house system.
Absolutely. We plan must-plays and do-not-plays ahead of time, and I read the floor live from there. You get the songs that matter without losing the energy.
Open-format: hip-hop, house, throwbacks, pop, country, and more — mixed live and matched to your crowd and the moment.
Yes. Weddings are available by request, including ceremony audio, cocktail hour, reception DJing, wireless mics, announcements, and timeline support.

Larger events start around $850. Wedding reception coverage starts around $1,500+, and full wedding coverage usually starts around $2,500+. Send an inquiry, we confirm the details, and the date is held with an agreement and deposit. For setup I typically need a stable power source near the area and access to load in — I'll confirm specifics once we talk through the event.
