Based in the Southeast our Sheerness location is one of our key chemical distribution sites and home to our blending and manufacturing facilities.
The site, which opened in 1993, has benefited from a number of expansions and developments over the years as we continue to invest and improve capacity, infrastructure and operations.
Work is now underway building a brand new 600m2 warehouse with a racked storage capacity of 800 pallet spaces plus ample floor space. This increased capacity will help to give us an even better stock position on a number of our key products, streamlining our supply chain and operational activities.
Additionally, in line with our on-going commitment to sustainability, our warehouse will be illuminated with high bay energy efficient LED lighting which is one of the most efficient and environmentally friendly lighting on the market. Whilst our brand new all-electric articulated fork lift truck fleet will be arriving in May to operate in the new space we’ve created.
And to finish off this round of investment in the business, we will be erecting a new 100 square metre powder facility to increase our powder blending capacities with the installation of new blenders including 1 tonne ribbon and smaller size blenders. As demand continues to increase for our chemical blending facilities, these new additions to the site will ensure we can keep up with current and future demand.
